Scarborough's KFC prepares to reopen - here's when you can get a takeaway

Staff are putting safety measures in place so KFC in Huntriss Row, Scarborough, can reopen its doors.

"We are setting out floor markings and supplying the staff with gloves and extra hand washing facilities," said manager Lesley Ireland.

"We will also have a door person for control of social distancing. The shop had been scrubbed and sanitised," she said.

"We have been waiting patiently to come back when it was safe to do so and can't wait to serve Our customers again. All the staff are raring to go," she said.

The shop opens from Tuesday June 23 with opening hours of 11am to 9pm. It will offer a takeaway service with a limited menu.

KFC has been opening its outlets in phases since April. Like all takeaways, cafes and restaurants it had to close when the coronavrius lockdown started on March 23.
