Presented by BBC Look North’s Harry Gration, he will look back at the career of Boycott in the presence of the Yorkshire legend on an evening that is guaranteed to entertain lovers of The White Rose and England cricket.

The ‘Greatest Living Yorkshireman’ will say exactly what he thinks about the current state of cricket and many other subjects he has hit out on in his latest autobiography, on air and in print.

As part of the show Geoffrey will be sharing some unseen footage from the BBC archives, rare photographs from his private collection and clips of the many highlights of his career including his First Test Match hundred, his 100th hundred and surpassing Garry Sobers’ world record aggregate of Test runs in Delhi in December 1981.

Jo Ager, General Manager of Scarborough Spa “We are absolutely bowled over that one of Yorkshire’s greatest Sporting Heroes has chosen The Scarborough Spa to share memories and regale tales of his time at the crease as well as his illustrious broadcasting career which has taken him across the world.”

Tickets ‘An Evening with Geoffrey Boycott - Hosted by Harry Gration’ on May 6 2017 are priced at £25 and go on sale tomorrow from or via the Scarborough Spa Box Office (01723 821888).
