Yorkshire journalist and editor Maxine Gordon has joined forces with Yorkshire In Business to run the full-day What’s The Story? workshop on Tuesday, March 3, at Cayley Court training facilities, Scarborough Business Park.

Maxine has been running the workshop that teaches people how to write a press release for two years in York and is branching out by coming to Scarborough.

Maxine said: “Most press releases end up being deleted by journalists. This is usually because the story is not relevant or interesting. Using my wealth of experience, I want to share with people the type of stories journalists are looking for – and how to write a press release that grabs the attention of a reporter.

“Getting the right editorial coverage is a great boost for a business or organisation.”

Jenn Crowther, CEO, said: “Yorkshire in Business, as a not for profit Enterprise, wants to bring a series of workshops to the area at a subsidised rate making it more cost effective for local businesses.”
