Scarborough's Esplanade Hotel bought by holiday firm

Daish’s Holidays has confirmed its acquisition of the hotel on Belmont Road.

The firm said it has been looking for a hotel in Scarborough for several years.

The Victorian building, which overlooks the South Bay, becomes the tenth hotel in its portfolio.

Paul Harper, Director of Sales and Marketing at Daish’s Holidays, said: “We are really excited to have completed on the acquisition of the Esplanade Hotel in Scarborough.

“We have been on the lookout for a hotel in the area for a while as we know the location sits well within our group of hotels and is a popular destination for our customers.

“The Esplanade Hotel is a stunning building that boasts incredible views over the coastline which we are now proud to offer to our new and existing customers.”

Daish’s says it will roll out its existing business model across the hotel, meaning that guests will be able to enjoy nightly live entertainment and package deals including transport.

As the new owners, Daish’s says it will look to undertake minor refurbishments to parts of the building in sections over the coming months.

Daish’s Holidays is a family-owned and operated business which has hotels across England and Wales.

The company also has its own fleet of 25 coaches to transport guests from a number of pick up points across the UK, stretching from West Yorkshire to Cornwall.
