The restaurant, owned and operated by local franchisee Richard Marcroft, has undergone a £600,000 refurbishment to create an extension so more customers can be welcomed.

The dining area and front counter have also been transformed and the Drive-Thru has been extended to allow for an additional collection point and brand-new digital menu boards.

Franchisee Richard Marcroft, who employs 200 local people across his two restaurants in Scarborough, says of the refurbishment: “We’ve been serving the people of Scarborough and a part of the community for 20 years now and I’m excited to welcome customers through the door to our new look restaurant.

"This significant investment means we can offer our customers even more choice on how they order and enjoy their food with a larger and much improved space.

"Whether they would like to eat in, take out, drive through or even order directly from their table via the McDonald's App, which like the self-service kiosks, mean customers can order at a speed that suits them, while easily accessing nutritional information.

"Other digital features in the restaurants include free to use tablets for children.”
