It has been an emotional and special time for children across Scarborough, Filey and Whitby as they returned to school – some for the first time in six months.

After months of lockdown learning, youngsters were reunited with their teachers and friends. Our photos show Gladstone Road Primary School, in Scarborough, where Assistant Headteacher for Key Stage 2 Victoria Gill said staff have been “amazed and delighted” with how well children have adapted to being back, and praised the children’s positivity and the support from parents.
