These latest figures may not give the whole picture of deaths related to the virus in the community as they do not include those who have passed away in care homes or at home.

The Office for National Statistics is releasing details of all deaths related to the virus after they have been registered, though there is an 11 day delay between a death being registered and the ONS publishing it.
