Number of Covid-19 patients discharged from Scarborough and York hospitals reaches 500

The milestone for the number of patients across York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust who have so far recovered from the virus was announced yesterday.

The Trust said: "It takes an amazing team - thank you to all of our dedicated, resilient and wonderful colleagues who have made this happen."

Earlier this week, Government figures showed that Scarborough has had 310 confirmed cases of coronavirus.

The number of people who have so far died who tested positive for the disease across York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Scarborough Hospital, is 211.
