One further person has died from coronavirus in Yorkshire hospitals

There has been one confirmed coronavirus death in a Yorkshire hospital today.

NHS England data released on Thursday, September 10 confirmed that one patient who tested positive for Covid-19 has died in Bradford.

The person died on Tuesday, September 8.

Nine people died outside the region.

Two people died in hospitals in Birmingham, two people died in hospitals in Derby, one person died in Salford, one person died in hospitals under the Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS trust and one person died in a hospital under the Ashford and St Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Patients were aged between 39 and 93 years old.

All but one had known underlying health conditions.

The total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England is 29,631.

NHS England publishes the number of patients who have died in hospital and tested positive for COVID-19 in England.

Since Tuesday, April 28 NHS England and NHS Improvement also reports the number of patient deaths where there has been no COVID-19 positive test result, but where COVID-19 is documented as a direct or underlying cause of death on part 1 or part 2 of the death certification process.
