As many parents start their first day of entertaining children at home, some while juggling work as well, a host of ideas have been posted on local social media groups.

Rebecca Palmer, who runs Little Yoga Stars classes for children aged from two to 12 in Scarborough and Filey, is hoping to help by offering free 10 to 15 minute sessions for kids.

Unable to hold her regular face-to-face classes, she has taken to teaching online and says she has been staggered by the response so far.

“A number of parents whose children I teach has asked if I would do a video for them to do at home,” explained Rebecca.

“Before I knew it, I was receiving pictures and videos of children following it, including one from Germany.”

In just 24 hours, Rebecca’s video had been viewed over 500 times.

“It’s such a depressing time and I’m just hoping to raise some smiles,” she added.

Rebecca is aiming to post a new video to her YouTube channel every day. For more information, visit http://www.facebook.com/littleyogastarsuk.
