IN PICTURES: Scarborough NHS staff observe two-minute silence during week of reflection

Staff have been remembering those who have lost their lives. They include consultant physician at Scarborough Hospital, Dr Abdel Wahab Babiker, and the Yorkshire Ambulance Service Advanced Emergency Medical Technician from Scarborough who died in April after contracting the virus. On Tuesday staff gathered at the North entrance to Scarborough Hospital for a two-minute silence. The Scarborough News will be paying tribute to professionals and volunteers who have helped pull us all through the crisis, with a special supplement in the 9th July edition.
