Scarborough borough's coronavirus infection rate continues to drop

The borough’s seven day infection rate per 100,000 people has fallen to 108 from 109 yesterday.

The average rate for England is 258 while in North Yorkshire it is now 164.

Government figures also show that two more people have died in the borough within 28 days of a positive Covid-19 test since March last year. The total number of deaths is 183.

Mobile testing facilities will be available in Whitby, Scarborough and Filey this week.
