The Yorkshire areas with the highest coronavirus infection rates revealed

The coronavirus infection rates has been revealed for areas across Yorkshire.

Areas with larger populations will tend to have more cases than those with smaller populations. To account for the different population sizes, rates are calculated. The count for each area is divided by the total population and multiplied by 100,000. Here are the totals (Accurate May 19) coronavirus cases infection rates in Yorkshire (PICS FOR ILLUSTRATIVE PURPOSES ONLY):

Sheffield has the highest infection rate in Yorkshire, with 2,477 cases at a rate of 425.2.
There have been 870 cases in Barnsley at a rate of 354.8.

There has been 1,213 cases in Bradford at a rate of 225.8.

There has been 439 cases in York at a rate of 209.2.
There has been 695 cases in Wakefield at a rate of 201.4.
