The app allows users to search for and purchase fresh beer, cider and perry from local producers and pubs.

Since its launch on May 6, Brew2You has already generated £20,000 in sales.

And the app has received widespread support across the industry, with endorsement from the British Institute of Innkeepers, the Society of Independent Brewers  and Cask Marque.

CAMRA is urging beer and cider-lovers to use the app to support small businesses so that they are in a better position to re-open when lockdown is lifted.

CAMRA National Chairman Nik Antona said: “The Brew2You app is a lifeline for an industry that has been devastated by the current lockdown measures.

“It was developed to make it as easy as possible for people to access locally-produced artisan beers, ciders and perries while the nation’s pubs remain closed.”

Brew2You is available to download on both iOs and Android devices.
