VIDEO: Here's the queue for McDonald's Drive Thru at Eastfield on its first morning back open
It didn't take long for the predicted queue of traffic to form, as McDonald's at Eastfield, Scarborough, opened its Drive Thru, after lockdown restrictions eased.
The restaurant opened at 11am today, and has a variety of social distancing measures in place, and a reduced menu.
Staff will have their temperatures taken each day, social distancing measures and hand sanitisers are in place and staff have been provided with PPE.
A coned-off route takes drivers into the car park, which is closed, and around to the Drive Thru, where the maximum spend is £25, with people asked to pay contactless.
This morning the traffic queue snaked around to the main Dunslow Road, and to the roundabout with the A64.
The Drive Thru is open from 11am to 10pm every day.
