CRAFTY children have been exploring the world through art and fun activities at a summer out of school club.
From England to France, Spain to Italy and America to Brazil, sessions at The Den at Lindhead School have been themed according to country, with the latest activity a fruit and vegetable printing class.
Playcare manager Anita Huby said: “We’re doing a Carnival of Countries, it’s going tremendously.
“The children really enjoyed it, they’ve been doing fruit printing using pineapples, kiwis, paw paws and star fruit.
“It’s all about using their imagination with colours. Everyday we’ve linked with things with the country we’ve looked at. With Italy we did work with pasta and we’ve been doing the fruit printing on Spain and they’ll be doing a fruit tasting experience.”
Children aged from four to11 years have attended the out of school club which runs until the end of summer.
