IN PICTURES: 1994 school leavers

editorial image

We have searched our archives and come up with a number of pictures of children who left their respective primary schools in the summer of 1994 to move up to senior school – are you in them?

Featured are schools from across the Scarborough area.

News from May 1994 included the inauguration of Nelson Mandela as the first black president of South Africa; three-time Formula One world champion Ayrton Senna was killed in an accident during the San Marino Grand Prix in Imola, Italy and the Channel Tunnel, which took 15,000 workers more than seven years to complete, opened between England and France, enabling passengers to travel between the two countries in 35 minutes.

We would love hear your memories, please email newsdesk@jpress.co.uk and in the subject title of the email put Scarborough school leavers, 1994.
