More acts for festival

ORGANISERS of the Musicport@Scarborough Fair festival have announced a trio of world class additions to this years line-up.

Alejandro Toledo & The Magic Tombolinos, Jaipur Kawa Brass Band and Mighty Zulu Nation have all been confirmed for the folk and world music festival on Sunday August 14.

They join previously announced acts Demon Barber Roadshow, Jim Moray and headliners Bellowhead for the event, which takes place at the Scarborough Open Air Theatre.

Other new additions to the bill include Sura Suso, Whisky Dogs as well as Hull band The Hut People.

Musicport, which was established in 2000, moved to Scarborough in 2008 from its original home of Bridlington.

This year it’s been teamed with the returning Beached to make up the Scarborough Fair festival, which will see an eclectic group of artists from all over the world perform over two days at the Open Air Theatre.

And organisers have promised that the “Sensational Bill” will have something to offer everybody.

Tickets for Musicport are currently on sale. The event is open to all ages, and doors will open on the day at noon.
