17 pictures from the Red Arrows flypast over Scarborough and North Yorkshire to mark Armed Forces Day

As a salute to the Armed Forces community, the Red Arrows performed a spectacular flypast over the skies of North Yorkshire on Saturday.

The distinctive Hawk fast jets flew over Scarborough as well as the British’s Army Catterick Garrison, and RAF Leeming. Scarborough was due to host this year’s Armed Forces Day National Event which was cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak. Ahead of the flypast, a small number of representatives from all three services attended a short flag-raising service at Scarborough Castle alongside senior leaders from Scarborough Borough Council.
