Flamborough RNLI crew going the extra miles to raise vital funds during May

As part of the RNLI Mayday fundraising event, the Mayday Mile, the volunteer crew at Flamborough is aiming to collectively cover 205 miles next month.

As part of the RNLI Mayday fundraising event, the Mayday Mile the volunteer crew at Flamborough is aiming to collectively cover 205 miles next month.

Flamborough Lifeboat covered a total of 205 operational miles last year and crew members plan to match this in a variety of ways, including walking, running, cycling, swimming and sailing.

A spokesman said: “Throughout the month the crew will add miles with their individual challenges.

“Progress can be followed on our Facebook pages Flamborough RNLI and Flamborough Lifeboat Station. Donations will be gratefully received, either directly or through our JustGiving page.”
