Scarborough student Louis Kille to cycle to Whitby and back for seven days to raise funds for Saint Catherine’s

A Scarborough student is set to ride his bike to Whitby and back every day for a week to raise funds for patient care at Saint Catherine’s.

Louis Kille, 17, will take on the challenge from Monday August 10 to Sunday August 16.

Each round trip will cover 60-70km and will take around five to six hours – with a pit stop factored in for lunch.

Louis, who is studying biology, chemistry and geography at Scarborough Sixth Form College, said: “I saw on the news that a lot of charities were struggling for funds because of the coronavirus and I wanted to do something. I thought every little helps.”

He added: “I’m really looking forward to it. It will be tough, but I think it’ll be fun.”
