1 Scarborough Electronic Organ Society concert

Flower of May Holiday Park, Lebberston Cliff, Sunday May 20

This year, the society has changed the dates to Sunday afternoons to try to increase the numbers attending. Sunday’s concert sees Vice President Nicholas Martin playing. He is a popular organist and people from a wide area travel to hear him play.

Doors open at 2pm, start time 2.30pm.

2 Filey Steampunk 2018

Filey is hosting their second Steampunk Weekend: around town, Crescent Gardens, Nun’s Walk picnic area, Bandstand, Beach and Concert Hall.

Join the guided local history walk (St Oswald’s Church Graveyard); Birds of Prey; The Ancient Art of Tea Duelling (The Lighthouse Tearoom, Belle Vue Street); Teapot Racing (Crescent Gardens Maze - White Lodge end); Raffle; Photographer in the Bandstand, Themed Morris Dancers, Tour de Filey (local businesses competition).

Discover some uniquely weird and wonderful circus and variety performers of the past in Professor Vanessa’s special show celebrating the 250th birthday of circus in 2018. 5 Whitby Gospel Music Convention

Convention, with fans from all over Britain flocking to the town. Making a welcome return is Paul Jones together with his wife, Fiona Hendley. Paul saw huge success during the 60s with Manfred Mann and still fronts The Manfreds with all the old hits. His wife Fiona Hendley has seen success both in the West End and also with the award-winning TV show Widows.

Local singer and event organiser Paul Wheater is best known for his two historic full houses at The London Palladium in 1992 and 1994 and continues to perform all over Britain in theatres and churches.

Tony Goodacre is the UK’s most travelled and well known country singer. He has sung at The Grand Ole Opry and joined Paul Wheater for a historic appearance at The London Palladium.

7 Whitby’s Wonderful Wildlife

8 Puffin and gannet cruises

An RSPB Puffin and Gannet Cruise aboard the famous Yorkshire Belle pleasure cruiser is exciting, sailing as it does to the bubbling hub of an amazing wildlife spectacle involving around half a million seabirds.

Standing on the deck, swirling spirals of gannets drift above while puffins flick across the waves like skimming stones.
