8,000 toys donated at Salvation Army service

The annual carol and toy service arranged by Scarborough Salvation Army and The Rotary Club of Scarborough saw a total of more than 8,000 toys and gifts donated.

These items were donated by members of the congregation attending the service and the many generous businesses in and around Scarborough.

The gifts were handed over to James Cliffe of North Yorkshire County Council, who with colleagues, will arrange their delivery before Christmas morning.
