A WEEKEND of celebrations were held to mark the 125th anniversary of South Cliff Methodist Church.
The event was opened on Saturday by Scarborough’s mayor and mayoress, John and Jackie Blackburn.
Visitors were treated to live organ music and a flower festival featuring 17 colourful displays.
Rev Nigel Spencer said: “It went well and we certainly had a lot of people there on Saturday morning.
“The flowers were really good and it was wonderful to celebrate this milestone.”
The event attracted over 400 visitors and raised just over £1,000 for church funds.
Organisers of the event wish to thank every one for their help in making it a success.
