Advice for voluntary groups

PEOPLE running voluntary and community groups in rural areas around Scarborough are being offered a range of free help and support.

The service, which is run by Seachange’s Rural Voice’s project, provides one-to-one support and offers advice and information, as well as helping groups get up to speed with legal requirements.

Rural Voice officer Pam Groark said: “As well as providing support to local rural voluntary community groups Rural Voice will be listening to rural communities’ issues and priorities and conveying these to policy makers so that two-way communication can be established and sustained.”
