Alan Ayckbourn’s latest play Neighbourhood Watch will not only be visiting New York after its world premiere in Scarborough but also Newcastle-under-Lyme and Bowness-on-Windermere.
The New Vic, Newcastle-under-Lyme, and The Old Laundry, Bowness-on-Windermere, have now released details of the Neighbourhood Watch tour to these venues before transferring to New York.
Neighbourhood Watch is Alan Ayckbourn’s 75th play and looks at how a seemingly innocuous crime leads to the formation of a well-intentioned neighbourhood watch which escalates into something altogether more sinister.
The play, directed by Scarborough-based Alan Ayckbourn, premieres at the Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough, on 8 September and runs until 15 October. Further details can be found at the SJT website here.
From there the production will transfer to the New Vic Theatre, Newcastle-under-Lyme.
The American premiere is on November 30.
