They travelled down to Sutton Scotney, Winchester, to be presented with the prestigious award at a glittering ceremony on Monday 20 March.

This year, the AA inspector was stunned by “the quality and design of the new state-of-the-art facilities block which has six fully-equipped wet rooms (one with bath; five with showers) and a very smart dish washing room”.

The inspector also said: “The woodland walk is an additional bonus and children of all ages have a choice of a fabulous play area and a ball games field”.

Cote Ghyll Caravan and Camping Park was hailed as “the perfect base for active people, with pony trekking, mountain biking and excellent moorland walking on the doorstep” adding “the well-appointed amenity block is a welcome addition to this attractive park”.
