Two alpacas have been brought to Saint Catherine’s Hospice for the birthday of an elderly patient.
Daphne Clargo turned 95 on Friday, 31 August and the team at the hospice arranged the special visit as a surprise.
Natalie Wright, Marketing Assistant at the Hospice, said: “It was the birthday of one of our patients and she absolutely loves alpacas so her daughter asked us if we could have one for her birthday.
"It was quite a task but luckily we found an alpaca farm in Whitby who agreed to bring along Chiquita and Jozinda.
“Daphne was over the moon, she was so thrilled. It was a really nice experience.” Picture by Richard Ponter.
