A SCARBOROUGH teacher is feeling top of the class after picking up a major honour.
Anne Norland, a familiar face at Seamer and Irton Primary School, picked up a 25 years Long Service Award from North Yorkshire County Council.
And what makes her recognition even more special is that she spent all of those years in the classrooms at Seamer.
She said: “I am very proud of the award.
“I have worked under four different headteachers but have never wanted to go anywhere else because it is so nice here.
“I love it here, from the children right through to all of the staff, it’s great.”
