Antique pistol dating back to 1840 stolen from Nunnington Hall

Thieves have stolen an antique pistol from Nunnington Hall, say police.

The declassified English percussion pocket pistol, which is one of a pair, was taken from the National Trust property in Nunnington, sometime between Monday, June 1, and Tuesday, June 16.

Dating back to 1840, the pistol measures 7.8cm and was stolen from the wall in the property’s Stone Hall.

Officers have released images of the stolen pistol and are appealing to anyone with information about the theft to come forward.
