Appeal following crash at petrol station

Police are looking for two men after a car crashed into a wall at a petrol station on Falsgrave Road.

Two men left the scene of the crash on foot after an Alfa Romeo hit a wall at Sainsbury's petrol station earlier today (Wednesday August 24).

One eyewitness, who asked not to be named, said: "The two men in the car were revving the engine when I went in to pay.

"The car took off at quite a high speed and crashed into the wall. The car caught fire and it was the station attendants who put out the fire."

Emergency services were called at 11.10am to the incident. The car has now been removed.
