Former Scarborough FC and Scarborough Athletic midfielder Jimmy Beadle could once again be set for a return to his home town club.
Beadle, who netted the final ever goal at the McCain Stadium when the former club signed off with a 1-1 draw against Leigh RMI back in 2006, has recently stepped away from the game after a season-and-a-half at Tadcaster Albion.
But he feels that, providing he can return to full fitness and his work schedule allows it, then playing for Boro could well be a viable option.
"Football has just been getting too much for me recently, it has become a bit of a chore," said Beadle.
"I am getting up for training at 4am, if we have a midweek game and training then it is nigh on impossible.
"You have to put your job first and that is what I'm doing at the moment, I'm having a break from the game, but I'm definitely not ruling out playing again.
"Coming back to Scarborough Athletic had crossed my mind, it is an option for me.
"I'd have to get a bit fitter though, there is a chance that my hours might change at work as well, so that would help as well.
"It is a long time since I played for a Scarborough team in my home town, why wouldn't I want to do that again in the future?"
