A fire at a block of flats in New Queen Street led to residents being evacuated by fire crews.
The incident was brought to a close at around 2pm today (Monday).
A representative from North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue told The Scarborough News that everyone was evacuated safely and no-one was injured.
The fire broke at the three-storey building earlier this afternoon, but the cause is as yet unknown.
Crews are still at the scene carrying out an investigation.
