Aberdeen Walk in Scarborough will be a blue light zone next week when the Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust’s (YAS) Summer Roadshow comes to town.
Scarborough residents are invited to come along to see the free event.
It is held daily between 11am and 2.30pm from Tuesday 30 August until Friday 2 September, where the YAS team will be on hand to offer free first aid training including life-saving cardio pulmonary resuscitation.
The event will offer people the chance to have a look inside a YAS ambulance and to find out more about the Trust’s services including what happens when a 999 call is made.
Free activities for children will be on offer along with information on volunteering or working for the ambulance service and the Trust’s Charitable Fund mascot, ParaTed, will also be making a guest appearance.
Ali Richardson, membership manager, said, “We are really looking forward to the roadshow, which is a fantastic opportunity for people to find out more about Yorkshire Ambulance Service and what we do.
“Everyone is welcome, whether you want to join in with some of the activities or just stop by for a chat and to pick up some information.”
