Police have confirmed that a man's body has been found at Cayton Bay.
Police and coastguard teams were called to the scene today at 10.55am, along with the Yorkshire Air Ambulance helicopter.
A spokesman for Humber Coastguard said: "Teams from Scarborough and Burniston were called to help recover a body to Scarborough's Inshore Lifeboat."
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "Police were called at 11.30am on the morning of Wednesday 30 March 2016 after a member of the public discovered the body of a man on rocks at Cayton Bay near Scarborough.
"The man’s death is not believed to be suspicious, however, an investigation will be carried out to determine how he died and the circumstances surrounding his death.
"We are not yet in a position to release the man’s identity."
