Boro have slumped away from the promotion race in recent weeks with a run of poor results, the latest being a 2-1 reverse at mid-table Atherton on Saturday.

Kittrick, who goes into the game with a full squad to choose from, has underlined that it is time to terminate the off-colour form.

"The players will be hurting and they will have a point to prove in the next few games," he said.
