TWO teenage boys were rescued by coastguard teams from cliffs above Marine Drive in Scarborough last night.
They had become stranded on the 300ft high cliffs near Hairy Bob’s skatepark.
Emergency crews were called to Marine Drive at 5.10pm after the boys were spotted by police officers.
Coastguard teams attended the scene from Scarborough, Filey and Burniston.
A spokesman said: “We assembled and put together a full rope rescue.
“The lads were taken up the cliff to the top safely.
“There were no injuries and no medical assistance was required.”
The boys, who were in their early teens, were taken home by police to their parents.
