Scarborough Council’s planning officers have recommended that Scarborough Athletic’s proposed new stadium be approved at a meeting next week.
The council’s planning committee will meet on Thursday May 28 when the first stage of Leisure Village plans will be discussed.
In the report, that will go before councillors, it has been recommended that the plans be approved.
The plans also include a 25m swimming pool and learner pool with seating area, sports hall, gym and dance studio, squash courts, multi-use gaming area with car park, associated landscaping.
The stadium will have a capacity of 2,000.
