Raging winds have caused two lorries to collide after one of the vehicles was blown over on a busy road.
Emergency services are currently on the scene after the lorry was blown onto the central reservation on the A64 near Seamer roundabout.
No injuries have yet been reported to North Yorkshire Police.
A force spokesperson added: “Two lorries have collided when one has blown over into the central reservation.
“The incident happened at around 11.50am today, Friday January 29.
“The road is currently closed and drivers are being urged to avoid the area.”
A source at the scene told The Scarborough News that traffic is being diverted due to the incident.
“Traffic is being directed off to Seamer at the roundabout, nothing is being let through towards York,” they said.
“People will be having to go via the Pickering road to rejoin the A64.”
The winds have caused disruption around the borough this morning.
In Scardale Crescent, the road was closed after a 25ft tree was uprooted by the wind.
