A panel of Yorkshire Coast Homes managers got the chance to step into Lord Sugar’s shoes as the company hosted an employment event that drew its inspiration from hit TV show The Apprentice.
The event, run in association with Scarborough Jobmatch, was held at The Street in Scarborough and saw seventeen candidates compete for three YCH apprentice positions.
The format for the day included a series of speed interviews and a series of challenges that gave the candidates the opportunity to express themselves and catch the attention of the judging panel.
Two successful candidates successfully gained apprentice positions with Yorkshire Coast Homes Customer Services and Care Services departments while the third candidate will be taking up their apprentice role with YCH’s social enterprise company The BEACH.
