A CAR parts manager from Scarborough has won a trip to the 24 Hour Le Mans race.
Nick Marriot, who has worked at the Arundale Scarborough dealership in Seamer Road for 16 years, has been awarded Peugeot’s prestigious ‘1 Litre Oil promotion’ prize for his outstanding promotion of their parts and service.
Mr Marriot joined seven other prize winners from across the UK at the international race.
Richard Blair, general manager at Arundale Peugeot, in Scarborough said: ‘We are all delighted that Nick has won this esteemed prize and been given the opportunity to represent the dealership at ‘Le Mans’.
“Nick is valuable member of the team at Arundale Peugeot and we hope he thoroughly enjoys watching the race and possibly seeing Peugeot win again this year.”
The 24 hour race is the highlight of ‘Team Peugeot’s Total’s’ season and dubbed one of the toughest races in the world, calling for meticulous preparation.
The team’s aim is to once again win the trophy which was last won by Peugeot in 2009, with the help of three new Peugeot 908s.
Bosses at Peugeot say their previous successes at ‘Le Mans’ have enabled them to showcase the benefits of different technologies which feature on its road cars and also show dealerships like Arundale Scarborough.
