Restaurant owner in CD shock

MUSIC was the food of love for a business owner, who has been left puzzled after receiving an anonymous CD in the post featuring a song about him.

William Bell, who runs Cafe Fish in York Place, received the disc in August but has absolutely no idea who could have made it.

Entitled ‘Take a Bow William Bell’, the song talks about the food and atmosphere in the restaurant.

Mr Bell was very surprised to receive the music.

“I was shocked, it was a couple of weeks before I played it because I didn’t know what it was,” he said.

“I’ve never had a song written about me before.”

Mr Bell thinks a customer must have written the folk song about the restaurant which has been running for 11 years.

Each year Cafe Fish, in Somerset Terrace, sends its chefs to represent Scarborough at the Foodservice and Hospitality Show.

Head chef David Jenkinson and chef Kirrell Savoninie took over the kitchens at the show in Birmingham in January.
