STAFF at a Scarborough family-run hotel are celebrating after scooping two national awards for two years running.
The Boston Hotel, in Queen’s Parade, has done the double after winning the Good Hospitality Award from coach holiday company David Urquhart Travel, for the second consecutive year.
The hotel has also once again walked away with the Premier Award after being selected from more than 300 hotels across the country.
The hotel has been run for the past three years by Andrew Woodall and Gary Whitton.
Mr Whitton said: “To win it last year was fantastic, but to win it again this year is just incredible.
“Not many hotels in the country have won it twice.
“We always work to keep the hotel up to a good standard, and these awards really show that.
“They especially mean a lot as they are actually voted for by customers who have stayed with us.
“It is hard times in the industry at the moment so to win this award is a great boost not only for us but for Scarborough too.
“We now just have to make sure we keep up the hard work and try and get it for the third year.”
