AWARD winning marmalade is now on offer at Wykeham Farmers Market after one of its regular stall holder scooped a top prize.
Wolds Cottage Kitchen, based in Wetwang, East Yorkshire was awarded a Gold and Bronze Award for two of its marmalades at The World’s Original Marmalade Awards at Dalemain Mansion, Cumbria.
The company received a Gold Award for its Pink Grapefruit Marmalade and a Bronze Award for its Satsuma Marmalade in the artisan, any citrus category.
Melanie Moss, owner of Wolds Cottage Kitchen said “It is a great honour to receive these awards and to have my marmalade judged by such a prestigious panel of experts. I have just celebrated my first year of business and to win two amazing awards this weekend was the icing on the cake.”
February was a busy month for Mrs Moss as she has also teamed up with Wold Top Brewery near Hunmanby to develop a new product; Boozy Caramelised Red Onion Chutney.
