A SCARBOROUGH employment agency is celebrating the arrival of a trio of successful exam results.
Castle Employment, based in York Place, has seen two of its recruitment consultants Edward Dooks and Tina Tout successfully pass their diplomas in Recruitment Practice.
Both consultants say they are “absolutely delighted” to gain the qualification, which takes a year to complete and is well recognised within the industry.
The pair had to study a range of topics, including the recruitment process from job analysis, candidate resourcing strategy to selection techniques, and recruitment law and ethics.
They also had to complete a 5000 word work based project which was based on the interview process and the creation of a specific competency based template, and undertake a practical interviewing examination in Leeds demonstrating a practical aptitude of the interviewing theory.
Alongside the consultants’ success, the newest member of the Castle team Georgina Towse, has also successfully completed and passed her Certificate in Recruitment Practice.
The certificate is an assessment of skills and knowledge within the recruitment market place studied over a six month period
It includes modules centred around essential legislation, the recruitment marketplace, the relationship with the candidate and the relationship with the business community.
Suzanne Burnett, managing director at Castle Employment Agency said: “All the staff from administrators to consultants at Castle Employment Agency hold professional industry specific qualifications and this is testament to our commitment to offer a complete added value service.
“ I am committed to providing training and development for all the staff.
“I believe that it not only gives them personal satisfaction and pride in being better equipped to carry out their work but it also gives our clients and candidates an enhanced service from recruitment consultants who are properly qualified in the recruitment environment.”
