CALENDAR GIRLS is coming to Scarborough for a week in the autumn.

Lynda Bellingham will lead the cast in the final tour of the stage show, which is based on the 2003 film of the same name.

Lynda, who presents ITV’s afternoon chatshow Loose Women, played Helen Herriot in All Creatures Great and Small and was in a long-running series of Oxo TV adverts.

The play has had several casts to keep the show fresh. This allows producers to bring in well-known actresses who don’t want to commit to long runs.

Calendar Girls has become the most successful play to tour the UK and has grossed more at the box office than the film.

It is about a Women’s Institute chapter which becomes a media sensation after raising money for a local hospital by posing nude for a calendar.

It can be seen at the Futurist Theatre from 19–24 September.
