The multi-storey car park has had its tariffs restructured and prices dropped to £1 an hour from one hour up to 9 hours.
As of Saturday 1 April, customers staying up to an hour will pay just a pound, and the car park’s 2,3,4 and 5-hour tariffs will all be reduced by 60p.
Those people arriving between 6.30am and 9.30am and leaving the car park before 8pm the same day will still be able to benefit from NCP’s ‘Early Bird’ price of £4.
James Graham, NCP’s business manager, said: “We are committed to supporting local businesses in the city centre and our new one-hour charge of £1 makes us the cheapest place to park in Scarborough.
"By reducing our charges we hope customers will feel encouraged to spend a little extra time visiting the town’s shops and, perhaps, stopping for a bite to eat.”
