This morning a vehicle has been recovered from the sea after being partially submerged.
Scarborough and Burniston Coastguard Rescue teams were called with reports of a vehicle submerged in the sea.
A spokesperson from the Scarborough Coastguard Rescue Team, said: "On arrival, teams donned water rescue PPE and entered the water to ensure that the car was empty, which it thankfully was.
"After working with the Police to establish the owners/occupants safety and location, we then assisted attaching equipment from a recovery firm to prevent the vehicle moving further out to sea and becoming a potential risk to vessels and a pollution hazard."
If you see anyone in difficulty on or near the coast, dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard.
