The car's the star for Chris as he takes on wheels from Corrie

A Scarborough resident is now the proud owner of the car which famously belonged to Coronation Street's Callum Logan on the hit soap opera.

Chris Booth bought his white Suburu in November just one month after it had finished being used for filming.

Previously owned by his friend, the car was used in the soap as Callum Logan’s car, played by actor Sean Ward, from last January until October.

Chris, 27, said: “When my friend had it he just happened to start talking to someone that was on the production team, and heard they were looking for a particular kind of car to be used in an upcoming story line.

“He just happened to own a car that matched what they wanted to use.”

Away from the streets of Weatherfield, the car has been spotted by fans of Coronation Street in Scarborough.

“It’s exciting, lots of people love the car and I’ve had people taking photos of the car when I’ve been out and about,” Chris added.

“When people find out they are genuinely interested and excited about it. It gets recognised when I’m out and about by ‘Corrie fans’.”
