Charity’s plea for volunteers to help save lives

SCARBOROUGH people are being urged to help save lives by raising funds for the British Heart Foundation.

The charity, which saves lives through pioneering research, is looking for people to help out in February by fundraising for them as part of their annual Red for Heart campaign.

They are also looking for people to wear red on February 24 and raise money through cake sales, collections at work or anything people can think of.

Companies, schools and individuals are being asked to raise money for the campaign

Sharon Oakley, fundraising manager, said: “Our Red for Heart campaign is our way of raising money to continue saving lives.

“This year we are delighted to be able to award a VIP Pod for the York Wheel to the BHF supporter in North and East Yorkshire who’s Red for Heart fundraising activity raises the most funds.”
